This Brooklyn group recently released their debut album back in 2016, and are back at it again with another brand-spankin’-new record, Twentytwo in Blue. It was co-produced by Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Jacob Portrait and Matt Molnar of the band Friends. The band’s sound seems ever-evolving; the title track retains hints of their original hallucinogenic sound, but lead vocalist Julia Cumming brings a little more grit and energy this time around. The lyrics are especially poignant, with some songs edging on that of an anthem. Each element has an extra punch to it, like a kind of emotional uncorking. Twentytwo in Blue is available in limited edition blue vinyl with black splatter. And trust us--you’ve definitely gotta give this one a listen.
